Compassberg is a 4x4 trail and hiking route that is 2502m high, and takes approximately 1 hour to drive to the point where you can begin hiking / climbing from.

In a 4x4 it takes approximately 3 hours up and 3 hours down. With a 4X4 you can get further up the mountain, and from there it will take you 2 hours up and 2 hours down.

Nieu Bethesda offers beautiful and stark vegetation and landscapes, which can be appreciated best from the heights of a vantage point such as Compassberg. Note: Remember to take provisions with you, as there are no facilities along the trail.
