Zandkraal offers accommodation on a farm 7km from Marlu Farm Stays, halfway between Steytlerville and Willowmore, only 12 km off the R329 (with easy access for sedan cars), and roughly equidistant from Port Elizabeth, Jeffreys Bay, Knysna, Oudtshoorn, Beaufort West and Graaff-Reinet. Zandkraal is an ideal base from which to explore the attractions of the Baviaans region of the Karoo or just stay.

Self Catering Accommodation

Zandkraal is a self catering holiday home with four bedrooms. Two of the rooms each have four single beds and the third bedroom has three single beds. The fourth bedroom has a double bed. There are two bathrooms, both have a shower, toilet and basin. There is a separate guest toilet. A cot is also available on request.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge / freezer, electric frying pan, kettle, toaster, microwave, two plate stove and oven.

There are outdoor braai facilities. A braai grid and one bag of firewood is provided. Extra braai wood is available for sale. Parking is available outside under the trees.

Dining

As an optional extra, our three course dinner is available for all guests at Marlu Farm (7km from Zandkraal). Menu available should you be interested. All dishes are homemade and prepared by your host. Meals are served at the main house. Cash bar available with dinner only. Advanced reservation is a necessity. We also serve breakfast. Preserved items, braai packs and freshly baked products can also be ordered timeously.

Attractions

We have 4x4 routes on the farm which are exclusively for the use of our guests. Enjoy a picnic in the veld or lambing season on the farm. Marlu is an ideal base from which to explore the attractions of the Baviaans region of the Karoo or just stay.
