Wieliewaal is a cottage located at Bergrivier Eco Retreat. Renew mind, body and soul in the most tranquil settings nature can offer. Situated on the world-famous Baviaanskloof Route and close to the hamlets of Loerie, Hankey and Patensie, this beautiful farm has been home to the Williams family for the past 150 years.

Self Catering Accommodation

Bergrivier Eco Retreat offers a number of chalets, which are fully equipped for self catering and have spectacular views over the hills and valleys.

Wieliewaal is a cosy, log cabin which boasts stunning views of the valley. Accommodating four guests, the cabin has a main bedroom furnished with a double bed and a loft furnished with two single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The air conditioned cabin has a kitchenette equipped with tea / coffee making facilities, a fridge and microwave. There is a comfortably furnished sitting area which opens to the patio. Facilities include fans, braai area and free Wi-Fi (at the farmhouse).

Activities and Attractions

The farm is situated in the scenic Gamtoos Valley where rivers, waterfalls and rolling hills abound. It is a nature-lovers paradise. Activities include hiking, bird watching, stargazing, visiting the African Dawn Bird Sanctuary, enjoying time at the Jeffreys Bay Bike Park, surfing at J-Bay and horse riding at Papiesfontein.
