About the Litchi Festival

The 20th Litchi Festival is once again set to rock the spectacular Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Although the focus here is often on the sun, sea, and sand, this festival is all about fun and celebrating the fresh flavours of the delicious litchi fruit.

Glendale, just north of Ballito, is the host area of this exciting event.

Enjoy the picturesque setting as you indulge in these sweet treats. Food and drinks will be available.

This is such a popular event that it has been held every year since 2005. Don't miss out on the fun and festivity, all to be found along the gorgeous eastern coastline of South Africa. Glendale, just north of Ballito, is less than an hour away from Durban and its King Shaka International Airport.

NOTE: Entrance fee is R180 per person from 3 years and up, this includes eating as many as you can while picking and taking home 1.6 kg Litchi's and a Tractor Ride. Children under 3 years enter free of charge, but do not receive any litchis to take home.

Enjoy a Combo Deal featuring the Hidden Forest Tour along with 1.6kg of freshly picked litchis, all for just R400. Halal food and beverage stalls will also be available for your convenience and enjoyment.

OPENING TIMES: The event runs daily from 9am to 3pm. Please note that we will be closed on the 24th, 25th, and 31st of December, as well as on the 1st of January.
