It is situated on a working wine farm; the guest is surrounded by vineyards, plum orchards, olive groves and lavender fields. The views from the terrace, lounge and bedrooms are unsurpassed.

A wonderful bonus is the very large heated indoor swimming pool, this is something seldom found when renting. Heat up the Jacuzzi and relax. What more does the traveller desire?

Put on the fire in the fireplace and party in the pool area with family and friends. Lounge and open plan kitchen have all amenities, DSTV, fireplace and overlook the dam. Three expansive bedrooms accommodate up to six guests, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Around the outside pool area you will find comfortable sun-loungers, several braai areas are at your disposal, wood is supplied.

One very unusual aspect of this villa is that Lousada has its very own helicopter pad. Board a heli from Cape Town, fly over the whales in Hermanus and land at Lousada for relaxation on the pool terrace.

Meals

Lousada Villa is self-catering, but arrangements can be made ahead of your visit for self-service breakfast-baskets or platters. Outspan Bistro & Restaurant with a menu to suit the whole family is two minutes away. Catering can be organised professionally for you and Restaurant Outspan will send a chef to make you a fantastic braai / barbeque.

Weddings

Weddings can also be organised and brides: this wine farm is available to you for a very small fee! There are three other villas on the farm, so 24 guests can be accommodated at the same time. Other good quality accommodation is nearby.

Location

The Overberg area is just one hours’ drive from Cape Town airport, it is one of the most beautiful parts of the Western Cape with its nature reserves and its natural Fynbos vegetation. Some 30 000 different species make up the Fynbos floral kingdom, unique in the world in its diversity. By the way; the elegant Blue Crane breeds on the farm, South Africa's most endangered bird species.
