The ultimate mountain-biking route, Hennops MBT Trail can be found just 30km from Sandton and Pretoria, near Haartbeespoort.

Spanning over 15 km, the trail caters for all levels of difficulty, as there are many ‘escape’ routes for those who would enjoy a little less vigorous experience. Beginning with a cable car crossing over the river, mountain bikers are challenged to various terrain and challenges, from farmlands, through to dongas, rivers, fields and other natural obstacles.

There is no catering or a shop at the finish, but there are swimming pools and braai (barbecue) facilities for mountain-bikers needing a well deserved rest. Enjoy the trail responsibly, and be considerate to other bikers and 4x4 enthusiasts will also be using the facilities.
