Shelanti offers an adventure route rather than a classic 4x4 trail. The difficulty of this 4x4 trail is graded as 2 with a minimum time of 4 hours to complete. The route is self-drive but guided on well tended dirt tracks and promises good game viewing opportunities. There is an abundance of game, with four of the Big Five all of which are roaming free on the 11000 hectare property. There is also a small pride of lions in a large camp. Although fairly undemanding and suited to soft-roaders, certain basic 4x4 skills are needed.
The Schamach 4x4 trail is located in Modimolle and has a difficulty grading of between 2 to 5 taking you approximately 4 hours to complete. A guide is available on request.
