About Cato Manor Heritage Centre

Photographs, documents, artwork and oral histories at this unique and interactive museum capture the life and times of the area and its inhabitants.

The Cato Manor Heritage Centre uses the natural light and space to illuminate floor to ceiling photographic prints that capture the defiance and struggle for freedom during Apartheid.

The Cato Manor Heritage Centre also shows the humanity and vibrance of the community through it exhibits. Browse through interesting exhibits in the form of newspaper clippings, historial accounts and letters which document the evictions, riots and rebellion that marred the area for decades.
