Cape Riding Horses are known for their loving nature, trustworthiness as well as hardness. Our horses are used for trail rides but also other disciplines. Experienced riders will enjoy their forward moving nature and can enjoy a challenging ride. Inexperienced riders will enjoy them just as much as they are well disciplined and patient.

The Voortrekker Monument and Nature Reserve overlook the lavender leaves of Pretoria's Jacaranda trees by day and the city's shimmering lights under starred night skies.
Day visitors can take in the sight of wondrous indigenous flora and fauna while absorbing this historic site from horse-back. This 340 Hectare nature reserve offers slopes and valleys, trails and paths for therapeutic and relaxing rides or obstacle course adventure challenges. Suitable for all ages of rider and level of ability with a compliment of 20 horses and the option of lessons. Enter the gates of South African history on a comfortable South-African bred gait. Bring a picnic for a private picnic ride resting under tree shaded African sunlight on a bed of flowers.
Navigate the scenery just like the Voortrekkers would have done under a full African moon on a romantic moonlit ride led by the Southern Cross stars (and a qualified guide). Children can share a saddle with a parent or be led on their own horse by a helper. Trekking on hoof with family and friends across this South African paradise brings a level of tangibility to the mass South African family migration, the Great Trek, which this very land is dedicated to.
