About Kettlespout Waterfall Hike
Hogsback is a tiny little village nestled in the Amathole Mountains of the Eastern Cape. It is utterly magically and alluring, particularly in winter, when it is usually blanketed in ash-white snow. Being situated amongst the imposing cliffs and mountains of the Amathole, Hogsback offers avid hikers a number of routes that showcase the natural splendour of this area.
The Kettlespout Waterfall Hike takes walkers from the arboretum in the heart of Hogsback to the waterfall. This fall is named Kettlespout due to the spray that it creates on a rare windy day, which is a spectacle to see. The walk itself is scenic; inviting visitors to experience the beauty and wonder that gives this entire area a delightfully mystical appeal.
