Colleen Glen, Port Elizabeth

Colleen Glen may be a suburb of the metropolis of Port Elizabeth, but it is situated far on the outskirts of the city. It has a distinctively rural look and feel; showcasing some of the glorious countryside for which the Eastern Cape is known and loved. It is situated beyond Kragga Kamma, and is made up of small holdings and farmlands scattered amongst miles of beautiful bush. Nearby suburbs include Seaview, Beachview, Maitlands and Greenbushes.

Colleen Glen’s homes and guesthouses typically have incredible views of the countryside, mountains, valleys, farms, and even the Indian Ocean in places.

There are a number of restaurants in and around Colleen Glen, as well as antique stores and special event venues. Elephant Walk is a popular spot and combines a country restaurant and tea garden with a deli, antique store, and play area for the little ones.

The Island is a protected nature reserve in Seaview, just minutes from Colleen Glen. It is equipped with braai areas and picnic facilities, and offers hiking and walking trails within its boundaries. The views are magnificent, and the multitude of birds and playful monkeys entertain the visitors. A little further towards the ocean is the Seaview Lion Park. Maitlands and its massive sand dunes, ideal for sand boarding, are also about 10 minutes’ drive away from Colleen Glen.
