Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Witzenburg mountain range of the Tulbagh Valley lies Wild Olive Farm. On this working wine and Olive farm, we offer lovely self-catering cottages and a camping site, all with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and vineyards. The silence, peace and tranquillity will leave you feeling totally relaxed and rejuvenated. Apart from just relaxing and enjoying the scenery, we offer offer swimming, canoeing and fishing in our farm dams. Bring along your bicycles and explore the farm and surrounding areas. Later enjoy the spectacular sunsets while sipping a sundowner on your verandah. We also offer personalised tours of own boutique winery and olive oil production facility while the town of Tulbagh offers excellent restaurants, wine cellars, olive estates, museums and numerous arts & crafts shops. Historical Church Street is definitely worth a visit as it boasts more historical monuments in one street than anywhere else in South Africa. Horse riding, hiking and 4x4 trails are also within easy reach for the more adventurous. AccommodationOur three Cape Dutch style cottages have all been specifically designed to provide our guests with maximum comfort during their stay. Situated adjacent to neighbouring vineyards, all offer spectacular views of the surrounding Witzenberg mountains and overlook our large dam. All three are fully equipped with linen, cutlery and crockery, tastefully furnished and have their own private braai areas, “riet dak” and timber ceilings, bathrooms with separate showers and jetmaster log fireplaces. King Fisher Cottage Situated closest to the mountain, this cottage has one double bedroom and one twin. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower and wc. All rooms are also fitted with panel heaters. There is an open plan living area with jetmaster fireplace as well as the dining and kitchen area with French doors leading onto a large pergola covered terrace, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Fish Eagle Cottage Sharing similar views and internal layout to King Fisher cottage, this cottage also has one double bedroom and one twin. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower and wc. All rooms are also fitted with panel heaters. There is an open plan living area with jetmaster fireplace as well as the dining and kitchen area with French doors leading onto a large pergola covered terrace, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Guinea Fowl Cottage Guinea Fowl cottage is the largest of our new cottages and boasts three bedrooms configured as two twins and one double. The main double bedroom has en-suite shower and toilet facilities. There is also a family bathroom with bath, overhead shower and w/c. All rooms are also fitted with panel heaters. There is an open plan living area with jetmaster fireplace as well as the dining and kitchen area with French doors leading onto a large pergola covered terrace offering magnificent views of the surrounding valley. Blue Crane Cottage - Gas only Double bed in main bedroom with bunk beds in the alcove off the living area. Bathroom with shower and wc. Jetmaster log fireplace in lounge/dining area. Stoep and private braai area. Plover Cottage - Gas only Open plan semi-detached bachelor unit with kitchenette, indoor Jetmaster log fireplace and double bed. Bathroom with shower and wc. Stoep and private braai area. Hoopoe Cottage - Gas only Open plan semi-detached bachelor unit with kitchenette, indoor Jetmaster log fireplace and twin beds. Bathroom with shower and wc. Stoep and private braai area. CampingBeautiful informal grassed area with braai area overlooking new vineyards. Clean ablution facilities - 3 separate bathroom suites (2 with showers, 1 with bath). Double basin wash-up area and double door fridge/freezer available. Twelve 15 amp Electricity points and portable braais available at no extra cost. There is limited shade available which is available on a first-come-first-served basis. There is also a 2.5 km dirt road to the farm which caravanners need to bear in mind. ACCREDITATIONS
