Tranquil self catering accommodation in a historic National Monument. Tulbagh is situated is one of the most scenic valleys of the South African Cape Winelands, a short drive north from Cape Town. The secluded Tulbagh Valley is surrounded by the towering Witzenberg Mountains which are snow capped in winter.

The Toll House offers spectacular self catering accommodation in Tulbagh, with a majestic back drop of the Witzenberg Mountains. Centrally located in Tulbagh’s historic Church Street, of 32 National Monuments, the Toll House dates from 1807. Its Cape Dutch architecture features thatched roofs, gables and yellow wood floors. If you feel the need to unwind and spend some quality time with family or friends, this is the ideal venue.

Accommodation


The spacious self catering cottage comfortably accommodates six guests in three bedrooms. The main bed room is dominated by its four poster bed, and has an en-suite shower room. Two further bedrooms, one double and a single, share a separate bathroom and toilet.

Optional Breakfast


Although a self catering cottage, it is owned by the Tulbagh Hotel, and a bed and breakfast rate can be arranged at any time.

Facilities


The facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge as well as DSTV with a DVD player. The secluded garden has a welcoming plunge pool, sun beds and braai / BBQ area.
The self catering facility is an easy walk from a number of excellent restaurants, delicatessen, supermarkets and banks.

Wedding Accommodation


Tulbagh is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Cape Winelands, and is a popular wedding destination. Church Street, renowned for the 32 Heritage buildings, is also home to the oldest church in South Africa, dating from 1745. Although now a museum it is still available for wedding ceremonies and The Toll House provides flexible accommodation for families and groups of friends. If you have a wedding in Tulbagh the guests can be accommodated in both the Toll House self catering cottage and the Tulbagh Hotel itself on a bed and breakfast basis.
