La Bruyere farm is beautifully situated against the Witzenberg mountain range, approximately 9 km from Tulbagh - an attractive and historic town set in the Boland mountains less than an hour and a half from Cape Town.
The farm is 222 hectares with the upper part of the farm reaching into the natural fynbos and proteas of the Western Cape mountains. Other parts of the farm are established to wine grape vineyards, winter crops such as oats and a herd of Angus cows. Every aspect of the farm offers breathtaking views which makes this a peaceful and relaxing place to be.
Tulbagh is centrally situated in the Breede River Valley in the Western Cape which enables visitors to explore other areas without having to travel too far.
La Bruyere offers 2 self-catering cottages. The cottages are attractively and comfortably furnished. They are fully equipped with linen, towels, kitchen items, braai (barbecue) facilities with wood, and have their own private gardens. Both cottages have indoor wood-burning fire places with ample wood provided.
The Garden Cottage has 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and 1 bedroom with a double bed. Sleeps 6. Hill Cottage has 1 bedroom with a double bed and a divan in the lounge. Sleeps 2-3 people.
Swimming, boating and fishing in the farm dam. Fresh mountain water runs into the dam year round.
Mountain biking (bring your own bike) on the farm and in the surrounding area.
