Bikes ‘n Wines is a unique concept in Winelands’ tourism and a South African first, combining both mountain biking and exclusive wine tastings. The tours are targeted at young-hearted and outdoor-loving people who would like to experience a wine tour from a different and authentic viewpoint. Up to four first-class Stellenbosch wine estates, situated 50km outside of Cape Town, are visited during the day, accessed by private farm roads that take riders through vineyards and quiet tree-lined roads, with dazzling vistas along the way.
Guests can choose from a variety of individual tours, which vary in distance, intensity and added extras such as brandy tasting at a world-famous brandy distillery. Depending on the type of tour, guests will visit up to 4 wineries, where you will taste a variety of South African wines, covering a variety of grapes and blends. Experts from the estates will guide and educate you in the tasting process. Bikes ‘n Wines caters for all ages and fitness levels, offering personalised tours as well as adventures for groups and corporates.
Adventure Ride: 21km
For the young-at-heart looking for an action packed day, this 21km (13 mile) route is the one for you! Enjoy tastings at three superb wineries, as well as Van Ryn's internationally renowned distillery. The cycling route takes you along private farm roads up to a breathtaking viewpoint, where panoramic views of the Winelands and False Bay will reward your cycling effort. Compliment this authentic cycling experience with a wholesome farm style lunch en route. Please note: Basic cycling fitness is required for this route.
Vineyard Meander: 9km
For those who want to slow down the pace and spend the day absorbing the beauty of their surroundings, this 9km (5 mile) route is for you. Visit two wineries and an award winning brandy distillery for a unique tasting experience. Enjoy lunch under the Oak trees at one of Stellenbosch's finest estates and take the opportunity to visit a wildlife sanctuary en route. Learn all about how South Africa's oldest wine route developed along the famed Eerste River whilst reveling in the natural splendour of your surrounds.
Platinum Package: 15km
This elite package offers you the finest experience on two wheels. Visit three esteemed wineries and a Brandy Distillery, where you will thieve directly from a barrel and indulge in a decadent brandy, coffee and chocolate pairing. Enjoy an appetizing lunch at a 17th Century Farm that is home to wild Springbok, Zebra, Ostriches and much other game. The route is mostly flat, leading you along oak-lined paths alongside picturesque rivers and through vineyards on an experience that will fill you with the pure essence of the winelands.

3 hours of sublime MTB, on jeep track, single track, through the vineyards and gravel forestry roads.This fully guided tour is for the mountain biker that would like a taste of what the winelands has to offer.
