This is a wine estate which is worth a visit in the heart of the Cape’ warm summers and cold, wet winters.
Here you will find yourself looking over serene vineyards from the tasting room and when the sun is out, sit out on the patio and take in the breathtaking mountain views.
In Winter, the fire place is roaring and that is precisely where you can relax. Why not enjoy the chefs selection of light lunches. Although if a light lunch is not what you’re inclined for in the Winter then savour the wholesome breads and soups that are served daily with a good glass of wine.
Webersburg’s Cape Dutch cellar was built in 1796 and the homestead including the Manor House and Jonkerhuis dates back to 1786. All Webersburg’s wines have great aging potential and character. The 2005 Webersburg Blend has berry aromas with dark chocolate, mocha and cedar flavours. If you’re looking for a wine to pair with red meat, aged cheese or game, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is very similar to fine Bordeaux wines and will suit the meal perfectly.
