Hidden in 600 acres of forest, fynbos and vineyards in the foothills of the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, our mountain retreat is the perfect place to unwind or use as a base to explore the Cape. Truly breathtaking.

Self-Catering Accommodation

Surrounded by 3 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vineyards on Wedderwill Country Estate, Skaap Villa offers the ideal retreat away from the hustle of city life.

The spacious home can accommodate 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms. The 2 main bedrooms are each furnished with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with showers, washbasins, and toilets. The third bedroom also features a king-size bed, while the fourth has 2 single beds. These guests share a bathroom with a bath, overhead shower, and toilet. All linen and bath towels are provided.

The open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, oven, stove, extractor fan, fridge, Nespresso machine, and filter coffee machine. A second fridge-freezer, washing machine, and dryer are available in the scullery. Guests can gather for meals around the large dining table, which also features a mini bar area. The lounge offers comfortable seating, a smart TV, and free Wi-Fi access.

Guests can unwind on the patio, taking in peaceful views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains. The villa features a private pool and braai area, perfect for outdoor relaxation. Guests also have access to estate amenities, including the guesthouse, which provides meals and massages by prior arrangement. Wedderwill Estate offers scenic walking trails and a large dam, ideal for swimming or kayaking.

We have back up solar and generators to overcome load shedding.

About the Area

Situated on a large (266 hectare) estate on the outskirts of Somerset West. If you like staying in nature and hearing the birds sing, this is the place to be. Somerset West with all its amenities is approximately 15 minutes drive. The beach at Gordon's Bay is only 15 minutes away. We are only 20 minutes from Stellenbosch and 35 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
