Scarecrows is situated in the picturesque Hout Bay Valley and is surrounded by majestic mountain views. We take pride in the fact that our restaurant offers the best of both worlds to families in that we have great activities and specialised areas for the kids.

But we don't forget about making Mom and Dad feel looked after too ... so don't feel that you need to have kids to come here! We have a great atmosphere and we're the perfect place to come and relax and unwind. We are fully licensed, have ample free parking, we are wheel-chair and pram friendly and we also have free Wi-Fi for those on the move.

Scarecrows day menu boasts fresh and healthy breakfasts, lunches, scrumptious home-made treats and delicious teas, coffees, milkshakes and loads more. Our night menu is made up of starter and main options to suit all palates and a dessert section that no one can resist. We have wood fired pizzas available from 12:00 every day and our wine list is quite impressive. Finally, our kiddies menu is well thought out and consists of good old fashioned favourites with a healthy twist.

To keep the kids entertained and amused, there are two large outdoor play areas that are both safe and equipped with jungle gyms, a sand pit, a rocking horse, a see-saw and more. There is also an indoor play area with puzzles, two school room inspired chalkboards, a castle and toys galore!

Scarecrows is the perfect kiddies’ party venue as well as an excellent adults function venue for both summer and winter with the benefit of having an on-site events coordinator. We provide a vast variety of themes, decor, catering (including home-made birthday cakes), and entertainment options.
