For a dinner with a difference, pack a picnic basket, grab a bottle of wine, a blanket and head to the look-out point at Signal Hill. This well known spot in Cape Town is popular with tourists and locals alike as an ideal venue to appreciate the stunning views of the Atlantic Seaboard, and to watch the sunset. Signal Hill used to be used as a post for communication with ships at sea, hence the name Signal Hill. The traditional firing of the noon gun cannon can be viewed Monday to Saturday at the end of Military Road. Get there early to avoid missing out.
