A microlight is the ultimate flying experience with its open cockpit leaving it to be considered the motorbike of the sky. Your supplied gear includes the original Luftwaffe flight suit, leather cap and goggles with nothing else between you and the sky, what fun!
There is space in the microlight for only one passenger (usually squealing) and one pilot (usually smiling). The 30 minute flip takes place over the west coast farmlands of the Cape displaying open-air view of Table Mountain and great visibility of Pelicans, Ostrich and small game. The full hour scenic flight includes unforgettable adventures skimming ocean waves, a possible witnessing of dolphins playing and whales breaching and undeniably dramatic views over the Cape Peninsula. Sunrise is a favourite flying time - with low winds you will arise before the world.
Dress warmly with closed toe shoes, your provided flight suit will be worn over your clothing. Camera's and video cameras to replay your visual accounts are welcome but be sure to strap them to yourself securely. For a group tour three microlights can take flight simultaneously. The airstrip is located on a farm so pack a picnic to enjoy pre and post flight. Should you fall in love with Microlighting, private instruction courses include full practical and theory training to complete your MPL (Microlight Pilot License). Finally that dream that you had where you were flying will be a reality!
Fly and Braai packages can be arranged for special groups and corporate incentives.
