The upmarket restaurant called ‘Flukes’ based at the Southern Right Hotel, brings locals and tourists together to appreciate the ocean views, frolicking whales, excellent winelist and delicious food.
‘Flukes’ has a separate bar area that serves hearty pub grub and draft and is a popular sport watching venue. The open air terrace is perfect for languorous hazy summer afternoons or for appreciating the sunset, before dinner. The handsomely furnished dining room and lounge is warmed by the glow of the fire and oversized leather couches suggest reclining with an after dinner drink. The children’s play area at Flikes is the only one in the peninsula that is outdoors, with a jungle gym, jumping castle, playstation, coin operated vintage style rides and other games. With seating outside, this is a favourite attraction for families, being one of the only upmarket family friendly venues in Cape Town with such extensive facilities for children’s entertainment.
