Coastal Kayak has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Bay coastline from the sea. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored on the beach.
From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 - 5 km journey South towards Clifton Beach. Clifton is well known for its ultra soft white sand and transparent, topaz blue Atlantic water. Being one of the most expensive and exquisite places to live in Cape Town, surrounded by mountains and indigenous fynbos, it is a magnificent bay to soak up the view and rest before we return to shore. The bird life on the rocks at Clifton is prolific. View various species of Cormorants nesting, while seagulls and albatross fly overhead. The African penguin is a common sight even though they are not always brave enough to say hello. Seals and dolphins inspect the kayaks regularly and sometime accompany a group of paddlers an enchanting experience.
The view of Signal Hill, Lion's Head, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what the Mother city has to offer. Trips are approximately 2 hours long. If you have previous paddling experience we can arrange half day kayak trips.
