South African pro-golfer, David Frost, was first introduced to a wine farm, whilst harvesting grapes on his family’s farm in Stellenbosch as a young boy.
From his earnings, he was able to save up to buy clubs and play golf and become an international golfing legend. His family has been in the business of winemaking for over 60 years and his passion for wine and golf grew and in 1994, he established a vineyard with Napa wine maker Jason Fisher on board. Three years later, he had produced his first 3000 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon and got an excellent rating in a Wine Spectator Review. The David Frost Range consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Par Excellence (traditional red blend), Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc which are fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in French oak barrels.
He has dedicated each vintage to a different golfer and $1 from the sale of each bottle goes to his charity. In 2004, he dedicated vintages to Jack Nicklaus, Sam Snead, Gene Sarazen and Arnold Palmer.
