Internationally, the trend towards sustainable farming and organic processes has resulted in a complete revolution in wine-making. Bon Cap has been following organic farming standards since it began making wines in 2002 (although it has been producing grapes since the 1920ís). This requires a real passion for sustainable farming in addition to expertise, specialised equipment and certain farming techniques.
This farm is situated close to the breath-taking Breede River and Elandia Valley. Growing wines organically means that no chemical products (herbicides, insecticides, fertilisers, or weed killers) are used. For best results, all farming is done before dusk.
Bon Cap is also known for their reasonable prices, making the appreciation of good quality organic vintages that much more accessible. Under the Bon Cap label are several ranges; namely, Bon Cap, The Ruins, and The Greenhouse.
Bon Rouge is the country bistro at Bon Cap, offering meals, treats and homemade products that include famous local fare. There is a dedicated play area for children, which includes a huge variety of toys and obstacles.
