Fireside Cabin is a gorgeous off-the-grid Drakensberg self-catering log cabin. The property boasts a river, visible from the deck, within walking distance so you can enjoy picnics, fishing, and swimming. This is a perfect holiday or weekend spot to really enjoy all that Southern Drakensberg has to offer.

Self Catering Accommodation

Fireside Cabin sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and the second room has two single beds. The beautiful bathroom is fitted with a large shower, toilet and basin.

The cosy open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. The dining area is ideal to enjoy those long lazy dinners. The lounge area has a flat-screen Smart TV for rainy days, and Wi-Fi internet access is available.

Sit on the stunning deck with a braai going and sip sundowners as you enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Mountains, or watch the kids play in the large garden. There is also a firepit to enjoy under the evening stars.

Underberg is a small, charming farm town that is popular with tourists in the Umzimkulu River valley of KwaZulu-Natal. It is situated at the foot of the Hlogoma Peak in the foothills of the southern Drakensberg, and boasts plenty of natural beauty. Although relatively small, Underberg is surrounded by farms, so it is always bustling with vehicles and locals stocking up on groceries and farm supplies.

The town features a few grocery stores and general dealers, two small malls, hardware suppliers, a butchery, art and craft stores, a few restaurants, quaint pubs, clothing stores and a petrol station. Attractions in the area include Glengarry Golf Course, uKhahlamba-Drakensberg World Heritage Site and Sani Pass. Activities include fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking and river tubing.
