Here, the chic and contemporary setting is the ideal place in which to chill amidst 360-degree views of the City Bowl. However, the vistas extend beyond the bustling CBD to include the iconic Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, and the crystal colours of the Atlantic Ocean. The Vue is a spectacular venue for cocktails and sundowners or for delicious meals and Tapas.

The Tapas menu is a wonderful array of tasty treats for the discerning palate. These include mushroom and bacon risotto balls, Dukkah lamb koftas with minted yoghurt and beetroot hummus, a stuffed lamb burger, Belvedere oyster shot, peanut and chilli beef wontons, tempura vegetables with soya and wasabi, and smoked trout and lime cream cheese on paprika sweetcorn fritters.

The light meals are wonderfully tempting, and peckish diners can choose from grilled marinated halloumi, aubergine puree, smoked tomato foam and toasted sunflower seeds; Dukkah-crusted rare roast beef with pickled vegetables and a crispy chilli beef wonton; or the pulled pork on a steamed bun with curried sweet potato fries; amongst other exciting dishes. Hungrier patrons can order the grilled blue cheese-stuffed beef burger, line fish with a warm potato and asparagus salad, lamb shoulder on truffle butter polenta, crisp pork belly with crackling and a baby apple brandy sauce, or the tender grilled beef fillet.

The wine list showcases a fantastic selection of imported champagnes and wines, as well as many of the South African wines, which are acclaimed amongst wine connoisseurs the world around.

The open-air deck is an irresistible spot from which to take in the tangible vibe of the Mother City from the central hub of De Waterkant. There is also a cool, elegant indoor area.
