About Thandeka Stables
Riding along the beautiful stretch of beach in the West Coast town of Melkbos, is one of the most beautiful experiences one could possibly have. Thandeka Stables, situated along the scenic West Coast near Melkbosstrand, makes the experience possible.
Thandeka Stables is owned and managed by Nikki and Wayne Thurgood, who have over 40 years experience in the equestrian world. Nikki and Wayne bring their experience to the stable yard, resulting in a well-run business and healthy horses. Thandeka even offer riding for the disabled and equine therapy. Novice through-to-experienced riders are welcome - the pace will be set accordingly. Thandeka even have their own coffee shop, and picnics can be catered for upon request.
Book a breakfast, afternoon or sunset ride, and feel the wind through your hair as you canter along the white sands of this magnificent stretch of beach.
Need to Know
WhereDirections: Take the West Coast Road (R27) towards Melkbosstrand. Drive past the Melkbos robots (M19). At the Duynefontein sign (on your left) and the Bush Pub (on your right) turn right onto the gravel road. Travel for approximately 1.2km until you see the Thandeka Stables signboard. Turn right here and left into the first gate.
