About the Apple Blossom Festival

October 2017 sees the first Apple Blossom Festival to be hosted in the scenic Western Cape region of Elgin. Be part of the fun as the landscapes erupt into expanses of flowering apple trees and the days start warming up in preparation for a sizzling South African summer.
The festival will showcase the most spectacular spots to see the apple blossoms as visitors negotiate charming farm roads amidst the rolling mountains and deep valleys of the Overberg. Along the way, there will be wine tastings, delicious meals and picnic spots. Those with more energy can tackle the spectacular fynbos walks and blossom trail runs. There will be a number of activities that are ideal for little ones too, making this an event for the whole family.
This event is free to enter and will take place over the entire month of October. The Elgin Valley is just an hour’s drive from Cape Town and the Cape Winelands.
To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book your accommodation well in advance for this event.
