There is a beautiful old sandstone church standing right in the centre of this gorgeous village that you must go and look at. Its just beautiful! There is so much to do you can easily spend a week in Clarens and you still won't have tried all the restaurants and eateries. Obviously go to Golden Gate Park - not to be missed and we loved walking around the town and pooping into all the ciute shops and galleries. Definitely a great getawy.

Really popular, so book your accommodation in advance. This is an awesome stop over if you're doing the Cape Town to JHB drive. If you can spend more than a night here because there is plenty to do and the area is really pretty. Good places to eat too.

Amazing space full of artists and activities, The Clarens Country House is the perfect entry point into one of the nicest towns I have ever visited. Dinosaur trails to white water rafting abseiling and great food

I just love Clarens. It is such a cute, quaint little town, with so much more to do than I ever expected. The shops are great, the cafés and restaurants so good, and the surrounding picture perfect. It is a great place to spend a few days on either side of visiting Lesotho or the Golden Gate National Park (or just do Clarens, cause it's worth the trip).
