Nestling against the mountain in the village of Clarens, is Berg Cottage. The cottage and huge garden are pet-friendly and withing easy walking distance of town and the surrounding hikes and rambles.

In 1929, this charming sandstone dwelling was built from blocks hewn from the mountain by a ‘bywoner' in order to qualify for the hand of the farmer's daughter. It retains the character and simplicity of that era while incorporating the comforts of today.

Self Catering Accommodation

Berg Cottage sleeps up to eight guests. The self-catering cottage consists of two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with two single beds.

There are two single divans on the enclosed front verandah and one sleeper couch in a separate room. There are two shared bathrooms and toilets.
