My husband and I recently had a chance to spend 5 nights at Tydon. We couuld not have been happier! The accomodations were very comfortable (better beds than most hotels we've been at) - with the chance to hear lions roaring in the night. The game drives worked out really well - they can't guarantee that you will see "everything" but we saw Rhinos, elephants, lions, a leopard, giraffes, herds of cape buffalo, lots of types of antelopes etc. We enjoyed sitting around the fire eating dinner each evening and exchanging stories. All the guides seemed to know the answers to all our questions. My only bit of advice is that going out on the evening drives in May was colder than we expected we needed hoodies/hats, jackets, and the blankets thoughtfully provided in each vehicle- though we were in our bathing suits at noon. We would love go back. Another plus was that we did not see ANY mosquitos while we were there!
Fantastic safari. Excellent game runs, great food, good company, and interesting fireside chats with Gavin, Lyam, and Joy. The tented camp is clean, safe, and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the safaris in Sabi Sands. HIghly recommended.
