About Lion Sands Tinga Lodge

Tinga Lodge offers Sabie accommodation on the Kruger Park side of Lion Sands Game Reserve. Tinga Lodge opens onto river frontage with a camp-style look reminiscent of the 'Out of Africa' era. Stepping out through the glass doors of your suite, your deck is for pool lounger safaris and dining experiences set up just for you.

Accommodation

The lodge's nine exclusive suites are set apart on a high bank up from the Sabie River. Your Suite definitely feels private with its own plunge pool and deck overlooking the water, and makes the most of a view that often sees wildlife passing through.

In each Suite you'll find a King-size bed, (with mosquito netting), air conditioning, Wi-Fi access, private lounge, and a sumptuous bath and shower. Stepping out through your Suite's glass sliding doors, your deck is for pool lounger safaris, dining experiences set up just for you, and al fresco showers under the stars.

From the Suites, elevated wooden pathways lead off to a spa sala and the main lodge – with its bar lounge, library, poolside and boma offering spaces to share good company or spend some quiet moments on your own.

Dining

All meals, drinks and selected snacks are included. Guests can dine on our outdoor deck overlooking the river, in our indoor dining area, or in our boma. Intimate dinner settings may also be arranged in imaginative locations. Kosher dining is available.

Experience

Our Treehouses offer sprawling views of remote Africa, globed by even bigger star-lit skies. Below, the stillness is punctuated by animals’ whistles, huffs, and growls.

The Treehouse Experience is booked in conjunction with accommodation at the lodge of your choice, at an additional rate, per person per night. Your room remains ready for your return at any point. You’ll pack a stay-over bag with the essentials, leaving the rest of your belongings back at the lodge.

Mack & Madi Kids’ Adventure Explorers

While you relax, we'll keep your young explorers entertained through milkshake sundowners, scavenger hunts, baking, or beading - we spark their sense of adventure, creativity and wonder all the way. All children receive their own backpack or cap, games, and gifts, and child friendly meals are offered. Child minding services available on request.

ACTIVITIES

The activities programme has been developed to enhance the guest's safari experience by enabling the guest to tailor-make their stay with us. The activities are all offered in a flexible and convenient environment. The activities programme is uniquely exclusive to Lion Sands guests only. Activities included in the daily tariff are: Open Land Rover game drives; Bush Breakfasts; Bush Walks; Fishing; Wildlife Lectures; Picnic lunches; Hippopotamus Tour; Bush Dinners; Astronomy and Full-Moon Walks.

Additional Activities which are available but not included in the daily tariff are: Private Land Rover hire (Exclusivity, Specialist Photography, Bird watching); Health Spa; Clay pigeon Shooting; Sleep-out Hide. By Arrangement visits to: Kruger National Park (KNP) Golf Course; Helicopter flights to the Blyde River Canyon, Ballooning Safari, Hazyview and a visit to a Cultural Village.
