The only institution of its kind in the world, the Natal Sharks Boards (NSB) services a 320km strip of shark nets and newly deployed drumlines along the KwaZulu Natal coastline leaving sun worshippers, beach-goers and surfers enjoying the warm waves of the Indian Ocean. The Natal Sharks Board research and conservation programmes have developed harmless methods like the electrical shark repellent to keep divers safe and this magnificent apex predator around for generations to respect. NSB welcomes visitors to the 25 minute audiovisual display of their day to day work followed by a 20 minute shark dissection.
