Fly-fishing at Magalies River Barbus Haven

Magalies River Barbus Haven is an eco-friendly fly-fishing venue located on the upper stretches of the pristine Magalies River. Guests are guaranteed a private and quality experience. Access is limited to a maximum of four patrons fishing plus partners and only advance bookings are accepted. As part of the Magalies River Conservancy strict measures and controls such as catch & release and barbless hooks are implemented to ensure that minimal impact is made on the fish or the surrounding nature.

All guests are accompanied by a trained river/fly-fishing guide who will assist with adapting to the local small stream conditions. Private fly-fishing tuition is offered to educate and refine the skills and techniques required for small stream fishing. Fly-fishing equipment is available for hire and the most effective fly patterns can be purchased at the venue.
