Dine at the Vaaljapie Station Restaurant

The setting is "Boere Kitch" with a tongue in the cheek informality, the cooking is traditional Afrikaans cuisine. Serendipity is the word to describe this tiny restaurant. Snugly fitted into an old Railway Station, it offers an unique experience to diners who enjoy something different, yet comforting. Sporting a menu of Afrikaans Home Cooking, Including something to entice any palate.

We offer a vast variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks and Tea-time treats are also very popular. Although we rate ourselves as an Afrikaans Restaurant there is something on the menu for every palate. We also have a few Vegetarian dishes on offer, which does not end with a baked potato. All our dishes are prepared fresh and our salads are never the same, because they are invented and created every time by our chef. We encourage diners to "mix and match" their own meals to suit their fancy, and to forget time on our balmy platform.

We suggest that you book in advance, because we are so small, we can only take a certain amount of guests at a time and in winter everybody prefers to sit inside when we light the little black stove.
