Situated on the quaint, narrow main road of the Storms River Village, Marilyn’s 60's Diner is a fuchsia-and-turquoise surprise to the senses. With wall-to-wall murals, paintings and famous photographs of Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and a few other old-time greats, this American-style diner promises a memorable meal, snack or milkshake.
Restored Chevrolets and Cadillacs are not only featured on the walls, but “in the flesh”, making for stunning photos opportunities and a firm favourite amongst car enthusiasts. The vintage décor is bright and dramatic, but never overwhelming. Jukeboxes, vintage cars, sugar shakers, checked floors and pinball machines. Impersonators frequent this diner and sometimes perform here, particularly for functions and events.
The menu consists of American favourites or classic dishes with a Yankee twist. Burgers, steaks, milkshakes, fries and diner-style meals and desserts are all on offer. The waiters are relaxed and friendly, so don’t go to Marilyn’s expecting silver service. The food is tasty and the portions generous. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and children are welcome.
