Port Elizabeth is proud to welcome its newest mall, Baywest, to its growing entertainment and shopping offering. This is a destination centre that offers variety that mirrors the diversity of the Eastern Cape and its people. Baywest Mall stands apart for its convenient locale; right on the N2 motorway, which eventually becomes part of the Garden Route.

The shops, restaurants and entertainment centre of this mall are the secret to its success, along with its excellent positioning. These shops and eateries range from fast-food outlets and massive chain stores to specialised boutiques, unique restaurants offering one-of-a-kind cuisine, and intimate little getaways to intrigue even the most seasoned of shoppers.

The young and young-at-heart love Baywest for the sheer abundance of entertainment options. The Olympic-sized ice-skating rink, games arcade, IMAX theatres, and movie theatres (at which the latest releases are featured) are all part of the Baywest experience. The food court boasts one of the largest television screens in the country, on which streaming entertainment is shown constantly.

The entire mall is wheelchair accessible, and there is undercover parking for the convenience and easier access of the shoppers. In addition, there are sheltered drop-off and pick-up spots for public transport.

The beautiful beaches of Port Elizabeth are about 25 minutes’ drive from the mall, as is the airport. The N2 takes one to Jeffrey’s Bay (the international surfing hotspot), and then on to the delights of the Garden Route (including Storms River, Tsitsikamma, Nature’s Valley, Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and Mossel Bay).
