Maccauvlei Golf Course, Vereeniging, Gauteng / Maccauvlei Golf Course is one of the best around and has played host to various big tournaments over the years. An excellent links-type course on the south bank of the Vaal River in Vereeniging, Maccauvlei was designed by leading British golf architect Colonel SV Hotchkin and was opened for play in 1926.

The Course
The Course boasts superb Kikuyu fairways and Bent grass greens, as well as 90 bunkers - including the biggest bunker in South Africa, a 120-meter long sea of sand at the par-four 17th hole.

Closed on Mondays, visitors are welcome everyday.
