The excellence of top-notch golfing facilities can really be enjoyed at the Ebotse Golf and Country Estate in Benoni, Gauteng. This course was designed by some of the most respected course designers on the continent (Peter Matkovich and Mark Hayes). It has been dubbed the fastest growing estate in South Africa.
This course, built to PGA specs, was designed with a focus on the environment, and with sensitivity to the ecological well-being of the area. This has resulted in a course that is not only very beautiful but is also committed to ensuring that the fauna and flora of this gorgeous country are preserved as far as possible.
There are a number of features that make Ebotse particularly lovely. The floating driving range is unique, fun and effective for those wanting to get some good practice in. There are also four short holes that are each challenging in their own right. The Rynfield Dam surrounds the course, promising backdrops quite unlike any other. By virtue of its being a links course, players can expect pot bunkers, thick rough and somewhat uneven fairways. Seven of the holes are on water. These all add to the challenge and fun of the Ebotse Golf Course.
The clubhouse is a fantastic place for a cold drink or a moreish meal with friends or colleagues. It can also be booked for functions and corporate events. In addition, there is a well-stocked pro shop here, as well as a training academy for those wanting to perfect their skills. Proper golf attire is required by all players.
