South Africa's Endangered Bird Species

Endangered birds are those facing extinction, and South Africa is home to some of these very special species, which are always incredible to spot in their natural habitat. Of course, many of them are in parks and game reserves, where their population numbers can be monitored and, to some extent, protected.

Some of the most exciting endangered bird species to spot in South Africa include the Cape vulture, corn crake, martial eagle, Pel’s fishing owl, and the Denham’s bustard. The Kruger National Park and the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park are just two of the parks that are home to some of the endangered species of birds.
