Simon’s Town is one of the most delightful little villages in Cape Town. Situated about 40 km outside of the city, en route to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, this quaint town is the residence of the South African navy and steeped in nautical history - its cobbled streets alive with restored cottages and homes, whilst the main road is an assortment of shops, coffee shops and restaurants ... cont.
When approaching Simons Town you will pass Simons Town Railway Station
on your left hand side. Also on the left you will notice a large stone wall and a
sign reading.
Alternate Route to Cape Point via Runciman Drive, you will then pass Admiralty House (Large white building with large wooden gates) also on your left. Almost directly opposite Admiralty house there is a yield sign painted on the road and a ramp to the right, take this ramp (this is Soldiers Way), at top of ramp turn right into Arsenal Road, then first left into Cornwall Street (Tennis courts on your left hand side).
Cornwall Street then becomes Runciman Drive. Continue along Runciman
Drive for 650m (you will go thru a 3 way stop street, continue straight) and
take first Right into Nelson Drive, then first right into Victory Way, then first
right again into Dolphin Way, A Boat House is number 25.
