The Hill, Johannesburg
The Hill is a small suburb in the south of Johannesburg, in an area officially known as Region F. It is characterised by its multifaceted nature; with homes ranging from small and simple to large and impressive. Some are free-standing, while others are in secure estates. This gives the whole area a unique quality; one that represents the many faces of South Africa.
The Hill is home to The Hill High School, and is close to a number of convenient facilities and amenities. These include the industrial centres of Region F, some top-notch theatres and the University of the Witwatersrand. There are also a number of shopping centres, entertainment hubs and office blocks in and around The Hill.
Visitors choosing this area as their base during their time in Johannesburg will experience the appeal of being situated nearby to these and other amenities, while not being in the hubbub of the city centre itself. The OR Tambo International Airport is just over half an hour's drive from The Hill, while Lanseria is almost an hour away. In addition, the retail and business heaven of Sandton is only some 23 kilometres from the guesthouses and homes of this vibrant suburb.
