About Moriti Safari Lodge
This beautiful camp is set among large sausage and fever trees in a beautiful garden that attracts some amazing birds. It is the perfect place to launch your search for the Big 5 as all of them are well represented in the area with the camp found in the middle of a large lion prides territory. The camp is booked exclusively for one group or family and includes a fully qualified manager / guide.
This select 12 bed camp offers a truly private wildlife experience. Built next to a water trough, we often have elephant and general game like impala and zebra visiting us daily as well as our resident male leopard that patrols the drainage line that surrounds the camp at night.
The camp is a thatched camp with well spaced out bungalows and a central entertainment area where meals and sightings are shared around the roaring fire at night looking up at a million stars.
There are 6 thatched guest rooms, two rooms with queen beds and four bedrooms with two single beds each. Each bungalow has its own en-suite bathroom consisting of a toilet, sink, basin and bath. Each room also has an air-conditioner and ceiling fan.
The lodge also has a TV lounge (with satellite television) and a veranda which is the focal point of the camp. The veranda looks out onto the water trough. The dining room and lapa lounge are off an enclosed boma area. The bar area has a fridge / freezer and ice machine, a fireplace for the winter months and a large dining room table that seats 12 people comfortably.
Due to the privacy of this safari lodge, sightings and special interests are happily taken into account! On any given day we drive in the open safari vehicle, track and learn about the local trees and birds. The times for the game drives are also tailor-made around your resting time.
The lodge is located in a phenomenal game viewing area with lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo all found close by as well as general game like zebra, giraffe, warthog etc.
