Café Riche is a fully licensed bistro situated on Church Square in the city centre of Pretoria. The Café Riche building celebrated its centenary in 2005, making it the oldest café and bistro in Pretoria. Popular with locals, tourists and celebrities, Cafe Riche has even hosted past-South African president, Thabo Mbeki.
Situated near a concert venue, theatres and evening venues, Café Riche is not only a coffee shop with freshly baked pastries available all-day-long, it is also open late for the after-theatre crowd. Enjoy a feather-light croissant or delectable pastry for breakfast, with a strong speciality coffee, or one of their famous fresh salads for lunch.
Their baguettes and paninis are famous for their quality and freshness, as the oven works overtime from six in the morning, until midnight. Recline with a cold Belgian beer, a welcome respite from the Pretoria heat, and tuck into a yummy open sandwich or mouth-watering lunch, such as their Mediterranean Fusili Pasta with Tabouleh style vegetables.
