The Mafigeni Safari Lodge is situated in Limpopo Province, the heart of the Bushveld and only 40 minutes drive from the renowned Kruger National Park. Chalet 1: Shaded by tall trees and secluded between koppies, this two bedroom, two bathroom chalet with queen bed in main room and twin beds in 2nd room offers guests a quiet and peaceful retreat. Main bedroom leads onto veranda with spectacular vistas of the Bushveld valley. This chalet has private bathroom facilties, Queen & Twin beds, balcony / patio, fan, bar fridge, safe, no smoking in rooms, hair dryer and views of the mountain & bushveld. Chalets 2 & 3: Mafigeni chalets have been designed to blend seamlessly with the environment, whilst carefully being positioned to enhance privacy. These units offer spectacular views from the bedroom patio. Take in these dramatic vistas from these unique, one bedroom with en-suite bathroom units. These rooms have private bathroom facilties, twin beds, fan, Wi-Fi, safe,no smoking in rooms, hair dryer and views of the garden ACTIVITIESOn the Mafigeni property, we offer guests a variety of services, activities and amenities, some of which are: Private bush dinner: Combine a horse ride or game drive with a private bush dinner. Very romantic setting with hanging candles, private and discreet table attendance! Can arrange as a surprise for that special memory. Game drives in open safari vehicles: Guests may enjoy day and/or night drives. The best time for game viewing is early morning and late afternoon, as wild animals usually bed down during the heat of the day. Night drives give guests the opportunity of sighting nocturnal animals such as Serval, Aardvark, Bushbaby, Genet, Porcupine and various nocturnal birds. Game viewing on horseback: Early morning, late afternoon and moonlight rides (during full moon only) are tailored to suit guests horsemanship. Experienced staff accompany all rides and first time riders welcome. Enjoy an hour or more (depending on your riding skills) in the Bushveld on well-schooled horses, suitable for all levels of horsemanship. Riders can encounter over 15 plains game species. Bird Watching: The diversity of habitat at Mafigeni makes it a premier bird watching area. More than 365 bird species have been recorded in the area. For your convenience, a card listing the most common birds is available to take with you on your bird watching excursion. Bring your binoculars and bird book. White Rhino Tracking Learn about the habits and behaviour of White Rhino and get up close and personal as your Mafigeni guide leads you on an unforgettable experience. Small groups of up to 6 people. Archery: Is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. Target Shooting: Join our resident Professional Hunter for target shooting at the Mafigeni Rifle range. Hunting: Let our resident Professional hunter guide you for trophy or on a biltong hunt. Bird hunting: We offer bird hunting on neighbouring agricultural properties during the bird hunting season (May to August).
