Situated in the charming suburb of Alberton, in the south of Johannesburg, the Reading Country Club is well maintained, accessible and a good golfing test all round. The history of the club dates back to the 1930’s and today you’ll find that Reading has succeeded in bringing about a balance between the traditional and modern values of the game.
The well wooded parklands course is rated par-71 and takes you on a journey through 6500m of tree-lined fairways. The course is well watered too with the danger of water featuring on ten of the eighteen holes. Kikuyu covers the fairways and Bent ensures excellent greens.
The excellent Golf Data team took the opportunity to upgrade the course in 1996 and today you’ll hear good reports from more than a few satisfied golfers. The club’s facilities are in line with all that you have come to expect and include: 18 hole golf course; catering facilities; bar and pro-shop.
