Package Tour - South African Beginnings Self Drive Tour

Categories: Self Drive / Sightseeing / Wine

Take a walk along the sand and feel the presence of those who have walked before you. The San and the Bushman people who hunted, fished and gathered along the beautiful rugged coastline of the Cape. Follow the very beginnings of European history in Southern Africa. A visit to the Castle of Good Hope with its haunted dungeons and splendid banqueting halls breathes new life into history. Cape Town has something to offer everyone, majestic Table Mountain and some of the best beaches in the world for a start. The Cape Winelands, for connoisseur or beginner, is just one delectable stop after another. For wildlife fanatics, seeing the only land based colony of African Penguins and meeting our resident baboons is thrilling. For those with “sea legs” a boat trip to see the Fur Seal Colony on Duiker Island allows you to observe these marine mammals in their natural habitat. Self drive tours along South Africa’s stunning Garden Route will see you sleeping in treetops and gulping oysters. From the forests of Knysna, with its small band of secretive elephants, to the scrub land of the Little Karoo the contrasts in the landscape is a mirror image of all the diversity South Africa has to offer.
