Itinerary

  1. DAY 1: Cape Town to Aquila Private Game Reserve

Cape Winelands, Stellenbosch & Big 5 Safari Game Reserve
We leave Cape Town and head off to explore the Cape Wine lands. A tour and walkabout of the historical town of Stellenbosch is a must for any visitor to the Cape. The architecture here is outstanding, it is historical Europe in Africa. We now visit one of the Cape's finest wine farms for a tasting, and time permitting, a cellar tour. Thereafter we drive through the Huguenot tunnel into the Great Karoo which is home to our Big 5 extravaganza. On arrival you enjoy a buffet lunch, then freshen up before your safari into the sunset.
On return, your "Boma" dinner will be ready, time to warm up and feast.

    OVERNIGHT: Aquila Lodge

  2. DAY 2: Aquila Private Game Reserve to Cape Town

Cape of Good Hope, Cape Peninsula, Chapman's Peak & Beyond
After an early morning game drive & a hearty breakfast we head to the Cape Peninsula which is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its exceptional floral diversity. We follow the west coast via Clifton with a stop at Maiden’s Cove to enjoy a magnificent view of the Twelve Apostles mountain range, Camps Bay & the charming little harbor town of Hout Bay.
The beautiful world famous Chapman’s Peak Mountain Pass offers breathtaking views.
Time permitting, an optional visit to the Boulders Beach, African Penguin colony.
The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is where the ice cold Atlantic meets the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Stand atop the Cape Point cliffs for unsurpassed views over the two oceans. Visit the Cape of Good Hope & be photographed at the most south westerly point of the African continent.
This famous landmark was named by the early Portuguese mariners in the 1400's
