The Cape Town Spoken Word Festival
The Cape Town Spoken Word Festival

2009 will be a first for Cape Town as this is the first year that a dedicated Spoken Word Festival will showcase all forms of the spoken word. This includes storytelling, performance and movement poetry as well as some interesting acts such as beat box masters providing the soundtrack for poets and original music from local musicians to enhance the stories and social commentary that will be performed at the Baxter Theatre Concert Hall in Rondebosch.

Venue: Baxter Theatre, Rondebosch

The master of ceremonies is Quanita Adams. Performances from Reggae artist Teba, Durban based Ewok and vocalist Brandon Florus and many more artists will be enjoyed by the audience.
