Directions to The Lookout at Whale Cove

From Cape Town International Airport
Travel east along the N2 towards Somerset West. Continue over both Sir Lowry's Pass and the Houw Hoek Pass, and at the bottom of the Houw Hoek pass take the off-ramp to Hermanus/R43. Continue through Hermanus, following the signs to Stanford. Approximately 20 km past Stanford towards Gansbaai you will see the turn-off to Guthrie Street, De Kelders, on the right, towards the sea. From the Garden Route
Travel south along the N2 towards Cape Town until Riviersonderend. Approximately 10 km past Riviersonderend turn left onto the R326 and travel for approximately 50 km until you reach Stanford. Turn left at the intersection onto the R43 towards Gansbaai. Continue for approximately 20 km and you will see the turn-off to Guthrie Street, De Kelders, on the right, towards the sea. To The Lookout at Whale Cove, turn right off the R43 towards the sea at Guthrie Road, De Kelders. Continue straight for a short distance until you reach the sea. Whale Cove is immediately on your right at the start of Cliff Street.
